At 0800 hrs we depart by 4WD to Ras Al Junaiz via the scenic and rugged coastal route. This tour offers breathtaking glimpses of the blue waters of the Gulf of Oman offset by pristine white beaches. We drive past the fishing village of Quriyat. There is a good chance of spotting Flamingos and Eagles at an inland stream. Visit the picturesque Wadi Arabayeen with its deep pools of water set among the date palms. We then proceed to the Bimah sinkhole, a spectacular limestone crater with blue green water at the bottom. After a lunch in we drive to Ras Al Jinz Turtle Reserve. You will then have time to relax at the hotel. Dinner is at 8.00 p.m. after which you will meet up with a guide who will take you out to the beach to search for turtles. Whilst we are very successful in sighting turtles, there are no guarantees. You will finish this and return to your hotel for an overnight stay..
Itinerary : After breakfast You will depart from Muscat toward to the golden sands of the Wahiba Desert. The great Wahiba Sands are located in dunes 200 km long and 100 km wide running south from the Eastern Hajars to the Arabian Sea. You will experience dune bashing on the golden sand dunes and visit the local bedouin house for Omani Coffee, camel rides will be available. You will then proceed to your next stop, Wadi Bani Khalid, one of Oman’s most beautiful wadis. The wadi has clear deep blue water and counts among the few wadis of Oman that holds water all year round. From the mountain springs, the water is led to the oasis where it sustains the date palms. The pretty villages of Wadi Bani Khalid cling precariously to the rugged mountainside. After a lunch in Wadi Bani Khalid You will then travel back to Muscat arriving approximately at 4.30 p.m.
